ONLINE RADIOLOGY COURSE.
About this course
This is a 5 weeks course consisting of 4 days online and a one day, in person lab. The in-person Laboratory session can be scheduled on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9am-3pm. Upon successful completion of the didactic and laboratory components, students will then perform the state required Radiographic Exposures in a previously approved dental office or clinic. Upon clinical completion, students will be eligible to sit for the Dental Assisting National Board's Radiation Health and Safety Exam. Successful completion of the RHS exam will result in permitting students to apply for their NJ Dental Radiography License.
What you'll learn
Each lesson, as outlined in the Board Approved Curriculum includes, but is not limited to; Radiation History, Radiation Physics, Quality Assurance, Film Processing, Infection Control, Patient and Operator Safety, and Dental Radiography Principles and Techniques. Students will learn to navigate Canvas, our online learning platform, to view pre-recorded video lectures, view PowerPoint presentations, and download and submit homework assignments.
